As an experienced healthcare technology executive focused on continuously improving the healthcare system, Emmet O’Gara has successfully led several organizations through periods of rapid growth. As CEO of Sandata, O’Gara is focused on delivering operational excellence, providing world class user experience and leveraging advanced analytics to constantly improve outcomes.

O’Gara brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare technology and analytics. Prior to joining Sandata, he served as Executive Vice President, Group President of Population Health Management (PHM) at HMS, a publicly traded healthcare technology company. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of the company’s PHM business development, product innovation, and delivery capabilities. He has also held senior leadership positions at MedeAnalytics, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Ernst & Young, and Cigna Healthcare.

Akshay Bhandari has over 15 years of experience, including in investment banking, venture capital, and private equity and is responsible for driving the strategic financial direction of Sandata.

Previously, Bhandari served as Senior Associate at Stripes Group where he sourced and executed investments across a variety of sectors including software, technology, and consumer products. He was responsible for executing investments in Seamless.com, Turtle Beach, and Sandata Technologies. Prior to Stripes Group, he worked as an Associate at Battery Ventures where he focused on sourcing private equity investments, including growth equity, buyouts, rollups, PIPES, and take-privates. Prior to Battery, he was a Senior Analyst in the Global Technology Group at Citigroup Global Markets, where he focused on M&A and equity and debt financing.

Raj Bhavsar has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry on both payer and provider sides. At Sandata, Bhavsar is responsible for leading both the Product and Engineering teams with a focus toward accelerating delivery of new and enhanced solutions to our customers.

Prior to Sandata, Bhavsar held the Chief Technology Officer position at Relatient as well as Optum Financial. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and earned his MS in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi.

Doug Fleishman has over 20 years of experience in the health care payer, provider, and employer markets, and has a proven track record of bringing value to clients. His role at Sandata is to drive growth, leading our Sales, Marketing and Client engagement teams.

Prior to joining Sandata, Fleishman held senior positions at MedOrion, Advantmed, Wellframe and Verscend.

Doug Nafziger is responsible for leading corporate effectiveness efforts and talent management at Sandata. He helps the organization align strategy and execution through constantly improving team talent.

Prior to joining Sandata, Nafziger was CEO of Solana—an enterprise healthcare technology organization that served customers in the intellectual and developmental disability segment of the Medicaid space. Solana was acquired by Sandata in 2019. He is a strategic leader with experience in executive roles at domestic and international organizations in various industries such as healthcare, technology, financial services, and manufacturing. Working for private-equity-based portfolio firms for two decades, he has a passion for fostering profitability at public and private organizations through collaborative leadership and setting and achieving substantial operational objectives with a client-centric focus. Nafziger holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and has participated extensively in executive education programs from Harvard University.

Angel Newsom is responsible for leading Sandata’s Customer Operations, ensuring that each interaction and handoff is aligned between professional services, customer success, support, enablement, and revenue cycle management. With the primary mission to deliver an unmatched experience, Newsom ensures her teams understand customer goals and objectives to realize the most value from Sandata’s solutions.

Prior to joining Sandata, Newsom was the healthcare practice lead at Four Winds Interactive, where she directly managed some of the largest managed care organizations, healthcare technology companies, and hospitals systems across the U.S. Through her customer centric approach and value-based delivery model, she redefined the healthcare practice through developing closer alignment between sales, implementation, customer success, and product to deliver solutions that yielded high utilization and growth, with a focus on customer outcomes. Newsom holds an advanced degree in Information Technology Management and teaches graduate studies at Regis University.
