Sandata is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy Bacci as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Bacci brings to Sandata over 25 years in technology, most recently leading HighWire Press, a scholarly publishing technology provider. His extensive background includes leading technology companies that span all sizes and growth stages, both public and private. Bacci’s principal area of expertise has been very verticalized business-to-business software companies, many of which have sold into the healthcare industry.
With this leadership change, Sandata will be making additional investment in its products for home care and intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) providers as well as payers. Beyond strengthening its current offerings, Sandata will explore entering adjacent markets.
“I’m excited to be part Sandata’s success,” said Bacci. “We have a talented and passionate team in place that sincerely believes in using technology to maximize the value of every in-home encounter, optimize the efficiency of home care and I/DD providers, and integrate payers and providers to improve care delivery.”
Today, Sandata is a top technology choice for home care providers, I/DD providers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and state payers. In 2020 alone, Sandata launched 12 new state payer programs. This is due to four decades of dedication to the home care market, playing a key part in the CURES Act and Electronic Visit Verification, and acquiring a leading I/DD solution in 2020.
Sandata’s goals for 2021 include continued top line growth; expansion of its payer and provider lines of business; further penetration into MCOs, and both organic and inorganic investments in technology to accelerate overall market share for the company.
Bacci is taking over for Tom Underwood, who served as CEO for nine years. As a result of Underwood’s leadership, Sandata is the national EVV leader, having won 20+ national payer contracts and expanding its provider footprint to over 45 states, tripling the size of the business and ultimately receiving a large growth capital investment in the business from Accel-KKR in 2019.
“We are grateful to Tom for building an unprecedented and unrivaled network of customers, who I’m looking forward to meeting,” said Bacci. “We’ll be working together to ensure a seamless transition.”
