Sandata CEO Presents on Electronic Visit Verification Mandate at the NAHC Annual Conference

Sandata Technologies, the leading provider of electronic visit verification™ (EVV™) software to the home care industry presented an educational session on EVV at the National Association for Home Care & Hospice conference. The presentation, titled “How Electronic Visit Verification Will Impact Your Organization,” highlighted the effects the new federal mandate can have on home care agencies and how the best approach is to embrace the requirement, and let the mandate drive Business Value that goes beyond simple compliance with the legislation.

3 key points from the presentation:

  • 30 states have yet to decide on how they are going to implement EVV; if your agency operates in one of those states; you have an opportunity – working with your state home care association – to impact how EVV can roll out.
  • EVV is not new, but new technologies – such as biometrics- offer home care agencies a variety of ways to comply.
  • While EVV is a requirement, many home care agencies are using the mandate to enhance the quality of their operations, integrating EVV with payroll and scheduling and even with the quality of care. At Sandata, we believe the right EVV solution can maximize revenue and reduce costs.

At Sandata, we’ve been offering EVV solutions to the home care industry for more than 20 years, and, because of our leadership position, we’ve been cited by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) as an industry resource for Electronic Visit Verification models at the recent National Home and Community Based Services Conference on August 31, 2017.
