HEALTHCAREfirst Announces Interface with Sandata to Improve EVV Management for Hospice and Home Health

Interface provides automatic transfer of patient schedules into Sandata’s EVV system, with verified visit data routed back to the HEALTHCAREfirst EHR system for completion of billing and payroll.

HEALTHCAREfirst, the leading provider of web-based home health and hospice software, billing and coding services, and advanced analytics, announces a partnership with Sandata Technologies, LLC, the leading provider of technology to State Medicaid agencies, MCOs, and providers to optimize service delivery.

This interface provides automatic transfer of patient schedules into Sandata’s EVV system. As field staff verify visits through Sandata’s technology, verification data are routed back to HEALTHCAREfirst’s firstHOMECARE and/or firstHOSPICE system for completion of billing and payroll. This time-saving interface eliminates the burden of duplicate data entry. And because Sandata is the only vendor that has experience with all four EVV models, multi-state providers can simplify their EVV vendor relationship and avoid working with numerous different vendors across various states.

“HEALTHCAREfirst is very excited to be working with Sandata,” said J. Kevin Porter, CEO of HEALTHCAREfirst. “We know customers are concerned about the upcoming EVV requirements and they can rest assured that we will be ready. Partners like Sandata allow us to provide smarter workflows that makes these new requirements efficient and easier to implement.”

“We’re proud to partner with HEALTHCAREfirst to support the EVV needs of the agencies using the firstHOMECARE and firstHOSPICE software solutions. In addition to compliance with the requirements of the federal EVV mandate, this integration will result in operational efficiencies, decreased costs, and a simplified user experience,” said Steve Pellito, Senior Vice President, Provider Sales at Sandata.

The interface is currently in its final stages of being completed. Customers interested in taking advantage of this interface should contact:
