A Santrax^® Fixed Location Tracking Device (FLTD) can be used to validate home healthcare visits at the point-of-care, when there are no cell towers or landlines available in rural or hard to reach areas. FLTD is part of Santrax^® Telephony’s Assured Coverage program, providing you with the most robust offering to ensure compliance.

With the FLTD you can validate both the “time in” and “time out” of visits at the point-of-care.

How does the FLTD Work?

The FLTD is affixed to a surface within a patient’s home. When the aide arrives at home / facility, the aide presses the appropriate button and records the 6-digit reading from the FLTD as well as the current date and time. When the aide is preparing to leave the home/ facility at the end of the visit, the aide then presses the appropriate button again and records the 6 digit reading from the FLTD along with the current date and time. They should also record any tasks performed to facilitate data entry at a later point.

The aide can either enter the data when they arrive at a location with a phone, placing a Santrax^® Telephony call and entering the values from the visit, or they can enter the data on a mobile phone at the point of use.

The Santrax^® Telephony system takes the device values and creates visit data in the system as though phone calls had been made at the beginning and end of the visit.
