Bert E. Brodsky

Bert E. Brodsky is the Chairman and Founder of Sandata Technologies, LLC, the leading nationwide provider of information technology solutions to the home healthcare industry. As an entrepreneur in 1970, he founded Medical Arts Services, Inc. for hospital based physicians, the first computer-automated billing and management service. He created the first program for hospital based physicians to submit claims electronically to Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare and Medicaid. This business became the forerunner of what is today known as Sandata Technologies, LLC.

For a time he was President of the Health Division of Itel Corporation, a billion dollar computer company where he earned Itel's 1978 “Outstanding Executive Award.” Later he founded National Medical Health Card Systems, Inc. (NMHC), a national leader in pharmacy benefit management services and served as Chairman of NMHCrx.

Mr. Brodsky is associated with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, and holds several philanthropic appointments. He served on the New York State Committee on Healthcare Facilities in the 21st Century and the New York State Task Force for Medicaid Reform.

His other holdings include Mobile Health Management Services, Inc., an employee health service; Brookhaven Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Inc. (BMRI); a real estate portfolio consisting of New York-Metropolitan residential apartments, condominiums, parking garages, and commercial space; and two restaurants, The Island Mermaid on Fire Island and City Cellar in Westbury. Mr. Brodsky is also a Managing Partner in Didit.com, the largest independent search marketing agency in the United States.

Harold S. Blue

Harold S. Blue is a healthcare entrepreneur, executive and private equity investor and has provided senior leadership to growing healthcare companies for almost three decades. Today, Mr. Blue is a managing partner of HealthEdge Investment Partners, an operating-oriented private investment firm that currently owns controlling interest in 6 middle market healthcare companies. Harold also serves as Vice Chairman of Sandata Technologies, LLC, a home healthcare IT solutions provider with more than 200 employees. Mr. Blue currently serves on the board of directors of Seracare Life Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRLS). He also serves on the boards of six HealthEdge portfolio companies, which in aggregate employ more than 3,000 associates. Prior to the last decade of private equity, Mr. Blue was the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of four healthcare companies, three of which were successfully exited and one was taken public. Mr. Blue was the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ProxyMed, Inc., which he took public in 1993. During his tenure (1991 through 2000), he raised over $100 million in capital for the business and transformed the company from an institutional pharmacy into a leading healthcare technology company. Prior to ProxyMed, Harold formed Best Generics, which he later sold to IVAX Corporation, marking IVAX’s first acquisition in the generic pharmaceutical marketplace. IVAX went on to become a generic pharmaceutical industry leader, and IVAX was eventually sold to Teva Pharmaceuticals for $7.5 billion. Mr. Blue served on the Board of Directors of IVAX for two years. From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Blue was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Health Services, Inc., a multi-physician practice management company, which he sold to Inphynet. From 1979 to 1984, Mr. Blue founded and owned a discount retail pharmacy chain that was sold to Eckerd Drugs.

Harold has served on more than 30 public and 12 private boards of directors, 12 audit committees, 15 compensation committees and 10 executive or special committees.

Ken Fox

Ken Fox is an active member of the Board of Directors of Sandata Technologies, LLC, the leading nationwide provider of information technology solutions to the home healthcare industry. Mr. Fox provides leadership and support for the company’s management and strategic growth initiatives.

Mr. Fox is a successful entrepreneur, operator and investor in internet and branded consumer product companies. He has been actively involved in the internet technology sector for more than 15 years. Mr. Fox has started six companies (Internet Capital Group, ICG Asia, Stripes Group, Syndero, A10 Capital and the Sentinel Fund), led investments in over 35 companies and taken two companies he started public. Prior to forming Stripes Group, Mr. Fox was a Managing Director of Internet Capital Group (”ICG”- NASDAQ:ICGE), which he co-founded in 1995. Five years after founding ICG, the company had a market capitalization in excess of $50 billion and included companies such as IBM, General Electric, Comcast and Ford among its numerous strategic investors. In his role as a Managing Director of ICG, Mr. Fox was instrumental in building the business; he led many of ICG’s most successful investments, including Matchlogic, SMART Technologies and TradeX.

In addition, Mr. Fox founded and acted as Chairman of ICG Asia, a Hong Kong listed joint venture with Hutchison-Whampoa, recruited many of ICG’s key executives, and was active in ICG’s fund raising efforts.

Prior to forming ICG, Mr. Fox was the director of West Coast operations for both Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. (NYSE: SFE), a $2 billion public corporation, and TL Ventures, a venture capital partnership with more than $500 million under management.

Mr. Fox is a co-founder and Chairman of Syndero, a co-founder of A-10 Capital and a co-founder of Sentinel Fund. He served as Executive Chairman of SmartWool during Stripes’ ownership and is currently serving as the point person for Stripes Group’s investments in Epic Advertising, NetQuote, Perimeter and Sandata Technologies.

Mr. Fox was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000 and was a recipient of the “Golden Plate Award” from the American Academy of Achievement, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people. He led the formation of The Fox Challenge, a program designed to introduce entrepreneurship to students at his alma mater.

Mr. Fox received a B.S., Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. He lives in New York City and enjoys skiing, golf, surfing, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends. He a passionate Penn State Football fan and roots for all the Philadelphia sports teams. His philanthropic interests are focused upon charities that try to improve the opportunities available to children in the United States.

David Gershen

David Gershen

David Gershen is Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Sandata Technologies, LLC, the leading nationwide provider of information technology solutions to the home healthcare industry. Mr. Gershen has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field and utilizes his expertise in finance to assist with the management and growth of the company. More…

Mr. Gershen’s financial background is extensive and diverse. He coordinated the accounting for 15 operating companies and 40 real estate entities. His oversight responsibilities included tax preparation and financial reporting and budgeting for all these entities, many of which are in the healthcare field.

Prior to joining NMHCRX, David spent 15 years as the senior finance person for a health care consulting and technology firm. He joined APM, Inc., as their Comptroller in 1985. He held a series of positions in the company with increasing responsibilities. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, and in 1995 he was elected a partner in the firm and became the Chief Administrative Officer. In 1996 when the company was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Mr. Gershen was named Vice President of Finance and Administration for CSC Healthcare Inc., a $350 million subsidiary. During his time at APM/CSC he accomplished a variety of major tasks such as managing the automation of the accounting and billing systems, developing a budget and financial planning model, refining the internal financial reporting system, and establishing policies and procedures. Mr. Gershen managed all the due diligence for CSC’s acquisition of APM and played an integral role in negotiating the agreement. Before joining APM, he worked in financial roles for RCA and Honeywell.

Mr. Gershen earned his B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. in Finance from Boston University. He resides in Plainview, New York with his wife and two daughters.
